Oh! Margot,Margot how I love this sexy smart woman!!! When lexxi first introduced her in the Alex drake series I had to know more!!! If I could be any character from lexxi's books it would be this chic,I fucking love her! She's a mover and shaker with ten gallon balls! Her words not mine. You have to respect a bad ass with no fucks given kind of woman,but even this beautiful temptress has meant her match and his name is Coop Byrne and what a fucking hunk!!! His easy manner and quick wit along with a killer smile are very appealing and with a body made for sin he's a total package and more then enough of a man to keep our girl Margot satisfied. Once again lexxi James has written not only a very entertaining read with hot sex scenes ( some of the hottest she's done so far) but a storyline with a bit of intrigue as well. If you haven't read her books your missing out on a fabulous writer who does contemporary romance that has a little something for everyone and her one liners and humor are sprinkled all though her books. This was a great romance with a little suspense and a whole lot of hot and steamy action with great chemistry and great sexual banter between our couple.In this tale we meet the sexy and handsome Austin Byrne part of the Valor group run by Liam cooper. After years of continuous deployment he's trying to settle into a regular life, so when the mysterious Maverick needs his services for the Mommy 5 a bunch of women who are not only mothers and wives but also undercover Operatives its just the thing to keep him from going stir crazy and maybe even help him with his obsession with his neighbor the beautiful and curvy evie. I love evie so very much! With a vivacious personality and a mouth that she very rarely censors she's definitely a wait to see what she does next kind of chick and I have waited for her book for awhile now. With her fiance being part of the Russian mob I knew it would add a great twist to this story. While Dimitri Antonov is alluring and very rich with movie star looks she knows he screws around on her and could be into bad things and every time she tries to break up with him he turns on the charm and turns up the heat with kisses that make her knees weak and her panties wet but she wants more. Maybe her sexy new neighbor Austin who has been front and center of her fantasies lately is just what she needs to let loose. Even though she thinks he might be a professional fuck boy with all the women coming and going at all hours of the day and night it doesn't hurt his appeal and maybe its time to make her fantasies come true.So when a naked Austin gets locked out of his house after having freaked out on the ( crypt keeper) its evie to the rescue with a blanket and coffee. I love lexxi's humor its all though her books and something I look forward too! Yes the sex is f**king hot and the characters fabulous but its her storytelling that keeps me coming back for more. Also their was another surprise appearance from my favorite Latin heart throb Paco!!! It doesn't get any better then that! What a fabulous read! Their is plenty of steamy moments and great chemistry and banter between between the main characters and alittle suspense and build up as well. I loved Jaclyn she is a strong sexy confident woman who has made it in a man's world with intelligence and a take charge attitude! And Richard is so hot! A total package good looks, charisma and very smooth talking pantie melting kind of guy who has found a way into jaclyn's intercircle though someone who's close to her. He has changed his looks and personality to pull one of the biggest con's to get close to the one woman he has wanted and longer for many years and he's running out of time! If she starts putting things together too fast the fall out and her fury from being lied to and conned will end whatever hope he had in making her his! Their are so many surprise appearances from some of the characters from Lexxi's Alex Drake series and a big reveal of the insider who was helping richard behind the scenes!!!! I can't say much,but I will end with this..... If you like your romance with a edge of suspense and a lot of sexual banter and great comebacks and one liners and some steamy hot sex scenes this is the book for you!!! In my opinion it can be read as a standalone,but take my word you'll want to know more about the extra players!!! This is another awesome book in this series. I had a really hard time putting it down. I have enjoyed these first two books and am looking forward to reading qthird.
For some reason, this story flowed perfectly. Fast enough to hook your attention, enough of a fabulous tale to reel you in and enough action to have you rooting for the good guys! Not too much over the top sex scenes like some recent books. No one needs that much verbage to describe sex every time. On to the next book of the series, can't wait to read them all!
