Lexxi James does it again. Jules has love/hated Brian forever. Emotions are raw when these too meet up after years apart. Their past is complex and turbulent. “Knotted” is the third in the “Boys of Bishop Mountain Series” and is a steamy contemporary romance. This book can be best described as a small town military romance. This book is the story of Brian and Juliana (aka Jules) and is definitely a love/hate relationship.Brian has always loved Jules but she hates him with a passion. He needs a temporary wife for about three months but the only person he trusts enough, hates him. An incident happened in high school that severely embarrassed Jules and she will never forgive him. She blames Brian, but will happen when she finds out who is actually responsible?Surprisingly, she agrees. Secrets cannot be hidden forever and slowly they unfold. Will Jules realise that he is not the bad guy and that he really cares for her? Brian does not want to let her go? Will she give their marriage a chance for real? This book will have you hooked …. page to page, chapter to chapter - I could not put this book down!I absolutely loved this story! Brian and Jules know each other since they were kids but things happen that make Jules hate Brian. After years of separation they found each other again but this time, Brian will not let Jules go. This story was great, lots of secrets and emotions hidden between them.

This is third book in this impressive series, and this is Brian and Juliana’s story.Brian is former military and has been voted one of Manhattan’s most eligible bachelors, and is an arrogant playboy, while Jules is a sweet introvert, who loves her book and family. Brian needs a break from the media circus, and needs to distract the press, and having served with Jule’s brother, he hopes to convince her to agree to be his fake fiancée for a few months, only problem being, she hates his guts after a humiliating prank in high school and a shaming photo stunt. Will Jules agree to help Brian and convince the press to back off?This is a well written easy to read, slow burn, with family, friendships, enemies / lovers, trust, emotions, passion, humor, witty banter, redemption, misunderstandings, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and compelling, small town romance.I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
