Great read

Easy reading and hard to put down. Not happy with the ending, but understandable. But, I'll write my own for now.

I really enjoyed the story, became involved from the start.

So worth the read, the story held my interest and was difficult each time I had to lay it down. Can’t wait to read the rest of the story.

Good story line read it all in one night

My only complaint is…

That it’s too short. This is more novella length than novel and it is not a complete story.I rarely read mafia stories. I grew up in Las Vegas and the mafia romance genre usually way over romanticizes the mob world. My rant below is a bit about reality, but not about this book. Regarding the book, I’m delighted by the interpretation of the setting and the quality of the writing. I will definitely be continuing this series.About the mob… No, there is not honor among thieves. No, when my best friend’s father, who was part owner of a downtown casino, was murdered they did not provide for his widow or children. When his body was found in the desert, his widow was left only with three children under the age of ten. I don’t think she even got a fair price for his interest in the casino.

Great page turner

Enjoyed this book tremendously. couldn't put it down, Great characters. I like how Leo fights himself and Ivy struggle with being open and honest. Already have the next two books ready to go. Looks like a great series.

Nooo! Not a cliffhanger?

I was not expecting a cliffhanger. I stayed up all night reading this book because I got caught up in Ivy and Leo and now I have read another “chapter” of their love story? What are you doing to me, Ms. James? I have to get some sleep before I get back on this rollercoaster. I’m beat.

Gripped

This is an amazing story that I couldn’t stop reading, Leo and Olivia or Ivy are strong characters and their story is addictive. I’m ready for book 2. I haven’t read for a while but Lexxi James knows how to write a gripping storyline. What an excellent author. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Funny, sexy and thrilling

This was a good read. I was laughing, crying and trying to figure out the family history. On to the next book☺️

Intriguing

Ivy was showing, lets call him Sin, around her employment at a Care Center where she is a therapist when he leaves and she gets a plain envelope. Leo is the D'Angelo enforcer who meets Ivy as she researches a location of the last known picture of her late mother, and lets call him supposedly her unknown father. They meet hot when Ivy is at her low point in life, once again. What a whopper of a to be continued tale.
